Scope
This module is about developing the relevant level of skills, knowledge and understanding to enable effective response to incidents involving rescue objectives. It is suggested that this module includes a number of "sessions", each capable of being accessed/delivered as a stand alone section.
These will include:
Common hazards and risks within incidents involving rescue
Range, type and appropriate use of search techniques
Range, type and appropriate use of rescue techniques
The common range of equipment and resources used at incidents involving rescue
Personal protective equipment at incidents involving rescue

Managing common hazards and risks involved in rescue operations:
Identify potential and actual common hazards and risks associated with rescue operations
Demonstrate appropriate methods and techniques to minimise risks to self and others in relation to common hazards and risks associated with rescue operations
